About Me I am currently studying Finance and Accounting at the University of Melbourne, where I focus on developing strong analytical, problem-solving, and quantitative skills. My academic background has strengthened my ability to break down complex ideas into clear, structured explanations. Outside of my studies, I enjoy reading, working out, and building small AI projects, particularly those related to data analysis and decision-making. These interests reflect my curiosity, discipline, and enjoyment of learning beyond the classroom. I decided to begin tutoring because I strongly believe that students are not defined by their current ability or labels placed on them. I used to struggle academically and constantly compared myself to others, feeling like I did not stand out socially, athletically, or academically. That changed in senior high school when I developed effective study habits, self-discipline, and confidence. Over time, I became a high-performing student, received multiple academic awards, and graduated as the highest-scoring student in my IB cohort. Having experienced both struggle and success, I am passionate about helping students realise that improvement is possible with the right approach and mindset. What makes me a strong tutor is my emphasis on independent thinking and understanding, rather than memorisation. When students ask questions, I guide them through the thought process by asking structured questions such as what assumptions are being made, what information can be inferred, and how the problem connects to prior knowledge. This approach helps students build confidence, problem-solving skills, and long-term understanding. I combine this with clear, step-by-step explanations to ensure students fully grasp both the method and the reasoning behind answers. I am disciplined, patient, and empathetic, and I understand the academic pressures students face today. Being closer in age also allows me to relate well to younger students and explain concepts in a way that feels approachable rather than intimidating. My goal is not just to help students perform better academically, but to help them believe in their ability to learn, adapt, and improve.
