Hello! My name is Mimi. I am currently studying Bachelor of Pharmaceutical Science at Monash University, hoping to specialise in drug discovery biology. I aspire to contribute to global health through a career in research, advancing our insight into the development of more powerful drugs to improve lives. Alongside my studies, I have a variety of hobbies that I enjoy, including biking, playing tennis and experimenting with computer graphics. These activities allow me to maintain a healthy balance between academics and personal interests, grounding a dynamic and artistic lifestyle. I decided to begin tutoring because I believe helping others with the knowledge I’ve gained in my studies is a vital purpose of education. I find it rewarding to solve challenges with the students together and see they improve in the process. I consider tutoring as an opportunity to foster a positive and supportive relationship with both students and their families, in which effective communication and collaboration is key to achieve a common goal. As a tutor, I value qualities such as patience and empathy. I am committed to understanding my student's unique difficulties and the concerns of their parents, which allow me to adjust my approach to fit their individual needs. I also strive to be a professional role model and mentor, creating an inclusive environment where students feel comfortable to ask for help. Through tutoring, I aim to empower students to build their self-recognition and confidence, both academically and personally. Looking forward to working with you and helping you succeed!
