Kunwar Sikandar

I am currently pursuing a Master's in Business Information Systems at Swinburne University, where I have the maximum available merit-based scholarship, a recognition given to top academic students. Before this, I completed my Bachelor's in Accounting and Finance at IBA, Pakistan's top business school, and was a recipient of the Dean's Honours List. Additionally, I have successfully completed 9 out of 13 ACCA papers, a UK-based accounting standard. My hobbies include socializing with new people, helping people grow, and a recent interest by the vertue of my degree doing digital marketing, creating websites, doing SEO, and helping small and medium-scale businesses. I've been passionate about tutoring since 2018, starting as a volunteer tutor for primary school kids. I really enjoyed helping kids understand mathematics using real-world problems and examples. My role expanded when I was appointed a Teacher Assistant at my university, where I provided weekly tutorials to a group of 95 students. What sets me apart as a tutor, besides my academic achievements, is my current status as a Master's student. Being in the academic environment, I constantly learn new teaching methods from my professors and stay updated with educational trends. This helps me understand the learning curve of students better and adapt my teaching style accordingly. Furthermore, I believe in teaching mathematics by aligning it with students' interests, using real-world problems and modern technological aids like video visuals, demonstration videos, and even YouTube resources. My primary goal is to foster a liking for numbers in my students, as a strong foundation in mathematics is crucial for excelling in fields like Engineering, Accounting, Finance, and many others. I strive to make learning an enjoyable and insightful experience for every student I work with.
