I decided to begin tutoring as I have a passion for teaching, so aside from full-time studies completing a double degree in economics and commerce, I like to help students develop their academic skills and love for learning through tutoring. Having younger siblings and having only finished school a few of years ago myself, I am very familiar with how easily school can become a burden if students struggle to understand what is being taught or how they should study. As a tutor, I try to rectify such issues to make learning a positive experience for my students. Additionally, I believe my patience and commitment to each student's learning and progress is an integral part of what makes me a good tutor, and the sense of achievement students feel when they make process is what makes this job so rewarding. While I am a university student, I have won multiple national level awards in recognition of my writing and I have done Maths Methods and Specialist as ATAR subjects in high school as well as having maths playing a significant role in both my degrees, so given the chance, I know I would work hard towards developing these skills as well as possible for my students too. I also have significant past experience in tutoring and I think one of my greatest feats as a tutor would be tutoring and guiding my younger sister, who was selected to be a part of the Gifted and Talented Education program.
